babincho prints began with Wendi Ma’s drawings and the small world around our home in Vancouver.

Wendi is an illustrator and artist based in Vancouver. She draws rooms, animals, food, plants, paper things, and quiet companions: things that feel close to home.

The work often comes from small domestic moments, ordinary objects, and the feeling of wanting a place to belong. A room, a meal, a cat, a plant, or a quiet animal can become a way to hold calm, safety, memory, and small joy.

Some drawings become cards, prints, pouches, bags, and small things that can leave the house and live with other people.

Behind the scenes, babincho prints is also a small family project, shaped through drawing, packing, photographing, arranging, and sending things out from home.
